Finding a Lawyer in Cyprus

You are always advised to get a good, independent lawyer to oversee your house purchase. In Cyprus, the lawyer’s duties will include doing searches on the property, checking contracts (and drawing them up in some cases) and completing various bureaucratic requirements including the Council of Ministers application to grant approval for you owning the property.

This process can take 12 months, but it can still be underway when you move into the property.
